Our municipality fo Sør-Varanger is located between Finland in the west and Russia in the east. On this evening tour we drive  to our large community to find the Northern Lights. On the way we tell interesting facts and myths about the Northern Lights. Since there is no guarantee of the Northern Lights, the tour is conducted by an experienced local guide who will also give you interesting facts about the border area between Finland and Russia. Along the way we stop in dark places where light pollution is minimal. At these stops we try to see the northern lights. Often you can see a thousand stars, the moon and the incredibly beautiful landscape that surrounds us. Or just enjoy the silence. If the Northern Lights do not appear, on this tour we will visit both the Finnish border with a photo stop there and the Russian border (photo stop). Our community is sandwiched between these two countries and you will learn a lot about our border area. Photo stops along the way. We serve a warm drink. Tour is carried out in our new Mercedes minivan (max 8 guests).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Northern lights are a natural phenomenon and can never be guaranteed. As a responsible tour provider, we can cancel the tour at short notice in case of very bad weather. In this case, the costs will be paid back to the customer. The customer has no right to cancel the tour later than 14 days before the tour date.

Price includes pick up in Kirkenes, hotels, snowhotel or at the airport.
The tour is with a personal touch and a local guide. Several stops on our way where you get the possibility to take nice pictures. Visit at the Finish and Russian border and full guiding about our Borderland, if no Northern lights.

Duration: 20.00 – 23.00 (we can offer the tour earlier or later in the evening, latest start is 20.30)

Price: 8000 NOK for 1 – 8 persons
includes local guide/driver (English speaking, German and French or Norwegian speaking on request), transportation in a minivan, pick up in Kirkenes hotels, Snowhotel or Kirkenes airport is included
